talking cure.
In my practice, I work with people who are hungry to know who they are and often struggle to express their innermost needs and values. I treat people who suffer from persistent anxiety, feelings of unlovability in relationships, and those frightened of conflict and lacking the tools to repair. Artists, academics, and individuals adjusting to the demands of adulthood often find their way to my practice.
I work psychoanalytically with individuals and couples with a history of trauma, whether acute or due to the ongoing stressors of being racially marginalized and/or LGBTQ+ identified.
Lastly, I also offer clinical supervision to clinicians accruing hours for licensure and beyond.
Approach
In session, saying everything is the goal—and we work toward finding the language to express thoughts and feelings formerly unknown to access more agency in your life.
My approach is warm, direct, and creative as we work through both past and present conflicts to achieve lasting change.
About
Prior to receiving my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University, I earned a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in Modern Culture and Media studies. I completed my fellowship in psychoanalysis at the Psychoanalytic Association of New York, and I am currently a candidate at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies. Presently, I am serving as the Associate Director of the Institute for Human Identity, an LGBTQ+ affirmative mental health center. In addition to my clinical work, I have worked as an arts and fashion writer, a director at a start-up, and as a certified yoga teacher.
Where do we begin?
We’ll schedule a consultation call to assess for the right fit. Should we decide to work together, we’ll discuss treatment frequency, schedule, and payment. In-person sessions are preferred, however, I do offer remote sessions via telehealth or phone calls as needed or on an ongoing basis. While I do work on a sliding scale and accept select insurances, the majority of my practice utilizes out-of-network benefits.
